Bakke 02 celebrates the mysterious depth and tactile grain of smoked European oak (Røget Eg). Lathe-turned from circular reclaimed workshop billets, the dish features a continuous gentle concave depression that catches shifting daylight. Its warm charcoal and espresso undertones create an arresting contrast beneath seasonal citrus, charcuterie, or botanical styling.
Key Craft Highlights:
- Rich natural fuming process reacts with oak tannins to produce deep, permanent dark espresso hue
- Fluid turned bowl profile balances modern brutalist weight with refined Nordic touch
- Multi-functional centerpiece: entryway valet key dish, dining centerpiece, or charcuterie platter
- Food-safe certified wax finish resists water rings and olive oil stains
- Heirloom construction hand-turned in limited artisanal batches
