The Twisted Braid Walnut Floor Lamp is an extraordinary masterwork of sculptural timber joinery. Four solid walnut-toned hardwood rods, each turned smooth and circular in cross-section, rise from a substantial disc base and intertwine in a continuous double-helix braid. The four rods cross and re-cross to form a vertical cascade of diamond-shaped apertures. At night, the lamp comes alive twice: once through the warm downward wash of its wide cream drum shade, and again through the secondary pattern of dancing geometric shadows projected across the wall behind it.
